The SEL16F28 combines a slimline design with wide 16mm coverage and a large F2.8 max aperture. As a result, it serves as an ideal lens for shooting cramped interiors or majestic scenery.

Smooth Defocusing
Instead of a standard polygon-shaped aperture, this lens features a 7-blade circular aperture. Consequently, it produces more natural, rounded defocusing or “bokeh.”

Refined Optical Performance
To optimize performance, the aspherical lens elements maintain high contrast, even with the aperture wide open. Furthermore, these elements minimize distortion and flattening of the image plane.
