Light Control Fabrics

Half Grid Diffusion

A mid-weight diffuser that softens harsh light without over-diffusing it, making it great for outdoor film shoots and controlled lighting setups.

The Overhead Half Grid Diffusion Fabric for Butterfly Frame offers the ideal balance between softness and control, making it a staple tool for lighting professionals. Designed to gently diffuse harsh lighting while maintaining directional integrity, the half grid fabric is perfect for balancing contrast and softening shadows without compromising light output.

Its open-weave polyester design produces a medium diffusion effect, reducing glare and specularity while keeping lighting clean and cinematic. Commonly used in studio and on-location environments, this fabric is compatible with industry-standard butterfly frames (8×8, 12×12, 20×20 ft), and is highly durable for repeated use under intense production conditions.

Whether you’re lighting talent for interviews, fashion shoots, or cinematic scenes, this diffusion cloth delivers smooth, natural light that flatters skin tones and enhances visual depth.
