35-150mm F2-2.8 AF Full Frame Zoom Lens

The Samyang AF 35-150mm F2-2.8 E has a maximum aperture of F2 at its widest and F2.8 at the telephoto end, covering five main focal lengths (35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 135mm, and 150mm). With its wide zoom range, the lens is designed as a fast all-rounder that covers a broad range of shooting scenarios, from portraits to travel. The premium design and performance of 2nd Generation lenses have been applied, supporting key features of recent Sony mirrorless bodies including Hybrid AF, Eye AF, Direct Manual Focus (DMF), and AF assist function.

Outstanding Optical Performance

The lens features 21 elements in 18 groups with an optimal combination of 2 ASP (aspherical), 1 HB (hybrid aspherical), 3 HR (high refractive), and 6 ED (extra-low dispersion) elements, delivering superior optical performance throughout the entire zoom range. When combined with Sony’s full-frame image sensor, the lens delivers high image quality to the edges of the frame with plenty of contrast. The 9-blade circular aperture creates smooth and attractive bokeh, effectively separating the subject from the background. The minimum object distance is 0.33m (1.08ft) at the wide end and 0.85m (2.79ft) at the telephoto end, enabling dynamic close-up shots and unique perspectives.

Advanced Autofocus and Video Features

The Linear Stepping Motor (STM) is fast and highly responsive, delivering excellent focus tracking and smooth transitions from MOD to infinity. The system is compatible with Sony’s Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF camera functions. For video shooters, the lens includes a Dolly Zoom Shot capability for in-camera cinematic effects, Cinematic Video AF with reduced wobbling, Linear MF Focus Control for manual focus shooting, and Digital Par-Focal to maintain focus on the subject when zooming in or out – a feature typically found in expensive cine zoom lenses.

Enhanced Functionality and Weather-Sealing

The lens features two round soft rubber buttons with focus save function that can store 2 points of focus. Three custom mode switches can be pre-programmed via the optional Lens Station. The lens includes a lock switch to keep the lens set at its shortest 35mm position for travel protection. The weather-sealed design has sealing in 11 areas to prevent damage or contamination from dust, light rain, and snow. The premium design includes Samyang’s signature ‘Hidden red ring’ design identity.
