High-Quality Digital Audio

The UWP-D21 combines Sony digital audio processing with reliable RF transmission and true double tuner diversity reception. Its digital processing technology improves transient response performance for high-quality sound. The system suits ENG, EFP, documentaries, weddings, and remote production.

Fast Frequency Setup

NFC SYNC makes channel setup quick, easy, and secure between the transmitter and receiver. The receiver also supports IR sync capability with the UTX-B40 transmitter from URX-P03, URX-P03D, and URXS03D receivers. Channel memory helps you switch quickly between receiver frequencies when using two transmitters. The transmitter can also send its frequency to the receiver for matching multiple receivers to one transmitter.

Reliable Wireless Operation

True double tuner diversity helps maintain stable signal reception. Auto gain mode provides volume control, while the +15 dB gain volume boost mode supports off-mic audio. The system also includes a line input, variable muting, receiver output level control, headphone output for monitoring, and a monitor mode for using the receiver as an ear monitor.

Camera Integration

With the optional SMAD-P5 Multi Interface MI Shoe adapter, compatible Sony camcorders and Alpha interchangeable lens cameras can receive digital audio directly. This setup bypasses A/D and D/A conversion stages. Compatible camcorders can also display RF level, audio mute status, and transmitter low battery information in the viewfinder. The receiver can receive power from the camera, with synchronized power on/off for improved power management.

Compact Package

The UWP-D21 package includes the UTX-B40 body pack transmitter, URX-P40 receiver, ECM-V1BMP omni-directional lavalier microphone, and accessories. Its reduced size and weight support mobility, while the receiver’s compact design works well with small camcorders and interchangeable lens digital cameras. The receiver features a high-visibility OLED display for indoor and outdoor use and a USB connector for power supply. The system is compatible with Sony WL-800, UWP, and UWP-D series.
