The Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 E II is a second-generation evolution of its full-frame standard prime lens optimized for portraits, landscapes, as well as shooting videos. This updated lens brings major improvements in optical performance, autofocus speed, and usability. With both 50mm and 35mm now updated, Samyang’s F1.4 E lineup offers two essential angles of view for Sony E-mount shooters.

The 9-blade circular aperture design creates stunningly beautiful background bokeh with smooth, creamy out-of-focus areas. The F1.4 maximum aperture makes it easy to capture clear images in low light, even when shooting handheld.

Fast, Quiet Autofocus and Professional Features

Samyang’s Linear Stepping Motor (STM) provides high-thrust efficiency for fast, precise, quiet autofocus and tracking, maximizing the advantages of Sony E-mount cameras. Compared to the previous generation, this lens is optimized for both photo and video shooting by minimizing vibration and noise. The lens features a customizable focus hold button and a custom switch, which can be set to allow silent aperture adjustment by rotating the focus ring using the optional Lens Station. The minimum focusing distance is just 11.4″ (0.29m), making it versatile for close-up portraits and food photography. Modern design includes an aluminum focus ring and weather-sealing in four areas to protect from light rain, snow, and dust.
