The Avenger D244N Variable Friction Arm is a professional articulated mounting solution widely used for remote rigging in lighting, camera, and audio applications. Commonly referred to as a Magic Arm™, this versatile support accessory is designed to provide flexible positioning and secure mounting for production equipment in studio and on-location environments.

Engineered for professional workflows, the D244N combines adjustable articulation with reliable locking performance, making it suitable for a broad range of rigging and accessory mounting tasks.

Articulated Friction Locking System

The arm features a central friction locking mechanism with a large ergonomic T-knob that simultaneously locks all three pivot points into position. This single-point adjustment system simplifies setup while maintaining secure positioning for mounted equipment.

With an overall length of 53cm / 20.87 inches, the articulated structure allows flexible positioning for cameras, monitors, lights, microphones, and other production accessories in confined or hard-to-reach mounting locations.

Professional Mounting Compatibility

Each end of the D244N incorporates a 16mm / 5/8 inch baby pin compatible with industry-standard grip and rigging equipment. Integrated threaded receivers support both 9.53mm / 3/8 inch and 6.35mm / 1/4 inch threaded mounting accessories for expanded compatibility.

The arm is commonly paired with Super Clamp or gravity-cast Super Clamp systems, but it can also mount directly to light stands, wall plates, and additional support hardware for versatile rigging configurations.
