4 x 5.65″ Rota-Streak™ Filters

The Brilliant² Rota-Streak™ Filter introduces a new twist in streak filters, offering fresh creative possibilities for in-camera streak, star, and swirl effects. Moreover, Lindsey Optics Brilliant Streak Filters are designed to create exciting streaks on bright lights and highlights in a scene.

These filters, with a 4×5.65″ size, are built to fit most professional 4×5.65″ Matte Boxes. The Brilliant² Rota-Streak Filters are constructed by mounting our 138mm Round Brilliant Streak filters in a geared rotating frame, which fits in 4×5.65 matte boxes using one stage in the matte box. Thus, easy integration with existing setups is ensured.

Additionally, the rotating filter mount allows the streak effect to be adjusted by rotating it to find the perfect angle. Alternatively, the rotation can be motorized for dynamic streak, star, and swirl effects.

To create the streak filters, a unique manufacturing method is used, which laminates very small cylindrical rod lenses inside the glass filter. By adjusting the spacing between the rod lenses, different streak effects can be achieved. A closer spacing results in a stronger effect, while a wider spacing creates a subtler one.

Furthermore, the diamond pattern produces a star cross effect, while the swirls create beautiful elliptical flares on specular light sources and highlights.

Brilliant Streak Filters are available in six types: 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, Diamond Star, Confetti, and Swirl. In addition, they are offered in seven colors: Clear, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink, Orange, and Red.
