The Brilliant² Rota-Streak™ Filter introduces a new twist in streak filters, offering exciting creative options for in-camera streak, star, and swirl effects.

Lindsey Optics Brilliant Streak Filters create dynamic streaks on bright lights and highlights in a scene.

These 4×5.65″ filters are specifically designed to fit most professional 4×5.65″ Matte Boxes. Furthermore, the rotating filter mount allows the streak effect to be easily adjusted by rotating it to find the perfect angle. Alternatively, the rotation can be motorized, enabling dynamic rotating streak, star, and swirl effects.

To create our streak filters, a unique manufacturing method is employed, where very small cylindrical rod lenses are laminated inside the glass filter. By adjusting the spacing between the rod lenses, a variety of streak effects can be achieved. A closer spacing results in a stronger effect, while a wider spacing creates a subtler one.

Additionally, Rota-Streak Filters are constructed by mounting our 138mm Round Brilliant Streak filters into a geared rotating frame. This frame fits into 4×5.65 matte boxes using one stage in the matte box.
