The PROMISE Pegasus32 R8 RAID storage system brings the power of Thunderbolt 3 technology to a wide range of Mac users. Use a single port and cable to connect Thunderbolt 3-enabled Macs at 40 Gbps or Macs with USB-C at 10 Gbps, while also getting the safety and security of full-featured hardware RAID protection. Now you can power your Mac through the Thunderbolt port and connect to high-res 8K displays directly via the DP1.4 port.

Ready-to-Use Out of the Box

The Pegasus32 R8 is ready to use out-of-the-box. The 32TB model offers eight 4TB SATA 7200 rpm drives. The system includes Promise Utility for setup, management, and monitoring, and is preconfigured with RAID 5 for optimal balance of performance and data protection. The advanced RAID engine supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD configurations.

Expandable and Backward Compatible

With dual Thunderbolt 3 ports, you can daisy-chain up to six Thunderbolt 3 devices. The system is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 2-enabled Macs using the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter (sold separately).
