ROKINON XEEN CF lenses reflect the growing trend toward more compact, lightweight, and high-definition cameras. Notably, these lenses are the first full-frame cine lenses to incorporate carbon fiber, which results in a sturdier, lighter, and more durable design, while also offering a future-oriented appearance.

Although carbon fiber is rarely used in precision machinery due to its difficulty in molding, the R&D designers deserve credit for developing a technique that successfully molds the material into the shapes and sizes required for precise lens construction. Furthermore, overcoming the cost premium of carbon fiber was another challenge. Nevertheless, the designers managed to keep the CF cine lenses accessible to both renowned and aspiring cinematographers.

Weighing just 2.12lb (0.96kg) and measuring 3.7” (93.5mm) in length for all five focal lengths in the PL mount, these lenses provide exceptional compatibility and flexible operation with equipment such as drones and gimbals.

Moreover, ROKINON XEEN CF lenses support large image sensors and the 8K capabilities of the latest cinema cameras. Thanks to their unique X-coating technology, optical design, bright T1.5 aperture (T2.6 for the 16mm), and 11-blade diaphragm, cinematographers can effectively control their shots to create distinctive looks, achieve excellent low-light performance, and capture beautiful bokeh.

In addition, these lenses feature changeable mounts, a common front diameter of 95mm for easy integration with matte boxes, and luminous glow-in-the-dark markings, which make them simple to operate in low-light conditions.

True cine lens features include unified focus and aperture gear positions, which facilitate easier follow-focus use. Additionally, the lenses offer tight color matching, dual-calibrated right and left side distance and T-stop scales, and incredibly smooth movement of the geared focusing and aperture controls.

The ROKINON XEEN CF 85mm T1.5 complements the 16mm T2.6, 24mm T1.5, 35mm T1.5, and 50mm T1.5 CF models, forming a core set of five highly versatile and capable cine primes.
