CB1 Microphone Cable

Rycote designed the ConnBox CB1 microphone cable connector box to mount on the Rycote Suspension system. This solution effectively addresses two major problems related to microphone shock isolation.

Firstly, rigid microphone cables often prevent true isolation, weigh the microphone down, and allow noise from movement and vibration to reach the mic. Additionally, noise and rattling from bulky cable connections can also create issues.

The ConnBox connects between the microphone and input device. By mounting onto the Suspension system, it provides the necessary slack to achieve true noise-free isolation.

Furthermore, the ConnBox includes a hardwired output cable with a 3-pin XLR male connector, while the included microphone cable features a standard 3-pin XLR female connector.
