With the announcement of the new AF 135mm F1.8 E, Samyang now offers a complete Auto Focus F1.8 E series, which includes focal lengths of 24mm, 35mm, 45mm, 75mm, and 135mm. This lineup covers everything from wide-angle to telephoto, providing versatile options for Sony mirrorless camera users.

Samyang has utilized its most advanced optical technologies to create a large-aperture prime telephoto lens that delivers exceptional corner-to-corner resolution. The AF 135mm F1.8 FE provides an 18.9˚ angle of view for full-frame cameras and a 12.5˚ angle for APS-C cameras. With its bright F1.8 maximum aperture, it delivers stunning resolution and sharpness, which is especially favored by full-frame camera users. The optical design, featuring 13 elements in 11 groups (including 1 U-ASP, 2 HR, and 3 ED elements), ensures optimal sharpness and contrast across the image. Combined with Sony’s full-frame image sensor, the lens consistently provides superb image quality.

The AF 135mm F1.8 FE excels in delivering a narrow depth of field with its large-diameter aperture, which results in smooth background blur. 1. Focus Hold Button
   Pressing the focus hold button will lock the lens at the current focusing distance. Additionally, you can assign functions such as Eye AF via the camera’s settings to this button.

2. Custom Switch
   The lens comes with a custom switch that allows you to silently adjust the aperture by rotating the focus ring. Using the optional Lens Station, you can tailor the mode to fit your personal preferences. (*More functions will be available through future firmware updates.)

3. Focus Range Limiter Switch
   The Focus Range Limiter operates only in AF mode and offers great utility when the object’s distance is already known. You can select the appropriate focus range by adjusting the limiter forward or backward.

• FULL: The AF range spans from infinity down to a minimum focus distance of 0.69m. (AF search may take slightly longer.)
• 0.69m – 2m: This range is ideal for close-up shots.
• 1.5m – ∞: Suitable for normal shooting scenarios, offering quick autofocus at typical distances.

Short Minimum Focusing Distance of 0.69m
Although the AF 135mm F1.8 FE is a telephoto lens, Samyang has engineered it to achieve a minimum focusing distance of just 0.69m (2.26ft), which allows for detailed close-up photography. With a maximum magnification of 0.243x, this lens enables you to capture small objects and accessories with remarkable resolution, all while maintaining a beautifully soft background bokeh.
