Brilliant² Tray Mount Lens

The Lindsey Optics Brilliant² Tray Mount Studio Close-Up Lens combines a premium 138mm close-up diopter with a professional 4 x 5.65-inch matte box tray. It installs directly into compatible matte boxes, allowing quick lens changes while extending the close-focus capability of cinema lenses. The Studio version features a knurled stainless steel handling post for improved grip when working with rod-mounted studio matte boxes.

Fast Installation for Professional Workflows

The integrated tray design slides directly into most 4 x 5.65-inch matte boxes, making close-up lens changes quick and efficient. It works with rod-mounted studio matte boxes, lightweight clip-on matte boxes, and other compatible professional systems. The tray-mounted design also accommodates large-diameter and wide-angle lenses thanks to its generous 5.1-inch clear aperture.

Professional Optical Performance

The Brilliant² series uses a 138mm close-up diopter with a broadband multi-layer anti-reflection (MC) coating to reduce reflections while maintaining image quality. A +1 diopter allows cine lenses to focus on small subjects when they cannot achieve the required close-focus distance on their own. The lenses are available in +1/4, +1/2, +1, +2, and +3 strengths to match different shooting requirements.

Broad Compatibility

The Brilliant² Tray Mount Close-Up Lens fits Arri™, Bright Tangerine™, Chrosziel™, Vocas™, and many other professional 4 x 5.65-inch cinema matte boxes. It is not compatible with RedRock Micro™ matte boxes. The +1/4, +1/2, and +1 versions occupy one matte box slot, the +2 version uses two slots, and the +3 version uses three slots.
