HS-150 Tripod System

The Libec HS-150 is a professional tripod system with a 3kg payload capacity, built around Libec’s unique continuous perfect counterbalance system. It keeps the camera balanced at any tilt angle, so users can focus entirely on precise and smooth camera movement. Even with a telephoto lens at its maximum zoom, the balance stays consistent throughout the shot.

Newly Designed Fluid Head

Libec designed this fluid head from scratch to dramatically reduce internal play in the pan and tilt drag units. This increases longevity and delivers ultra-smooth movement from start to finish. The head also features a counterbalance meter with a range of 0 to 100, so you can check the minimum and maximum inner spring strength at a glance. As a result, balancing your camera on location becomes quick and straightforward.

Advanced Drag Unit for All Conditions

The layered metal drag unit uses the finest silicon grease for smooth starts and improved backlash control. It operates reliably across a wide temperature range from -40°C / -40°F to +60°C / +140°F. The variable 4-step drag system includes a zero free mode with no friction, and unlike other heads, there is no need to store it in free mode. This makes it a practical and low-maintenance choice for everyday professional use.

Versatile Base and Easy Setup

The dual-head base works with both 75mm bowl and flat base tripods. In addition, it is compatible with sliders, skater dollies, and photo tripods for maximum flexibility across production setups. The one-touch Snap ON/OFF plate attaches and releases in seconds, making field setups fast and easy. Furthermore, the slide plate is compatible with Libec’s TH-M, TH-X, TH-Z, and NX Series, as well as other brand tripod systems, so swapping between supports takes no time at all.

User-Friendly Features

The LED bubble level lets you level the head accurately in the dark. The counterbalance meter is also illuminated for easy reading in low light. On the side of the fluid head, 1/4″ and 3/8″ screw holes let you attach an accessory arm for monitors, lights, and other accessories. These holes sit at the base, so they do not affect the payload capacity, center of gravity, or front-to-rear balance of the head.
