The Brilliant Macro +1 Aspheric attachment lens is specifically designed to provide incredibly sharp images of moderately small object fields.

Brilliant Macro Lenses are compatible with cine prime lenses by Cooke, Leica, Schneider, and Zeiss, as well as compact zooms from Canon, Zeiss, Sigma, Tokina, and others. When used with high-quality compact zooms, the image remains in focus throughout the entire zoom range. As a result, a new dimension in macro cinematography is achieved. Additionally, Brilliant Macro Lenses are compact and lightweight, and are designed to be easily attached to the base lens via a suite of available adapters.

Lindsey Optics Brilliant Macro attachment lenses are intended for use with digital formats up to Full Frame (24 x 36mm), and they perform even better with smaller formats such as Super 35.

Moreover, when paired with a Cooke 5i T1.4 lens, the Brilliant Macro lenses enable large aperture macro cinematography. This opens up new creative possibilities by utilizing the shallow depth of field that the large aperture provides.

Furthermore, the Brilliant Macro’s 3-element air-spaced design, which utilizes exotic optical glass, ensures performance that far exceeds that of traditional two-element achromatic doublets. Because of their unique design, these lenses can be stacked to achieve extremely high magnifications.

In addition, Brilliant Macro lenses do not suffer from light loss when working in the macro range. A T2.0 prime lens combined with a Brilliant Macro lens maintains the T2.0 system, ensuring no loss in light.

While the Brilliant Macro Lens cannot improve the performance of the base lens it is used with, when the base lens is of high quality, this macro adapter can achieve resolution up to 200 lp/mm.

Brilliant Macro lenses are available in three strengths: +1, +2, and +3. By selecting specific combinations of base lens focal length and Brilliant Macro strength, users gain full creative control over object size, working distance, and perspective in macro cinematography.

As a result, extreme close focus can now be achieved without the chromatic aberrations and loss of sharpness that are often associated with lesser solutions.
