Macro +3 Aspheric lens

The Brilliant Macro +3 attachment lens is specifically designed to deliver astonishingly sharp images of very small object fields. Consequently, it provides unmatched clarity and detail.

Brilliant Macro Lenses are intended to be used with cine prime lenses by Cooke, Leica, Schneider, and Zeiss, as well as compact zooms such as those made by Canon, Zeiss, Sigma, Tokina, and others. When used with a high-quality compact zoom, the image remains in focus throughout the entire zoom range, thus adding a new dimension to macro cinematography. Moreover, the compact and lightweight design of the Brilliant Macro Lenses allows for direct attachment to the base lens via a suite of available adapters.

Lindsey Optics Brilliant Macro attachment lenses are engineered for use with digital formats up to Full Frame (24 x 36mm). However, they perform even better with smaller formats, such as Super 35, providing enhanced versatility for different setups.

Furthermore, when used in combination with a Cooke 5i T1.4 lens, the Brilliant Macro Lenses make large aperture macro possible, offering new creative possibilities that take advantage of the shallow depth of field produced by that large aperture.

The Brilliant Macro’s 3-element air-spaced design, incorporating exotic optical glass, provides performance that far exceeds that of two-element achromatic doublets. As a result of this unique design, the lenses can be stacked to achieve extremely high magnifications.

Additionally, Brilliant Macro lenses do not suffer from light loss when working in the macro range. Therefore, a T2.0 prime lens combined with the Brilliant Macro remains a T2.0 system, maintaining the original aperture value.

Although the Brilliant Macro Lens cannot directly improve the performance of the lens it is used with, it can achieve resolution up to 90 lp/mm, provided the base lens is of high quality.

Brilliant Macro Lenses are available in three strengths: +1, +2, and +3. By selecting the appropriate combination of base lens focal length and Brilliant Macro strength, users are granted complete creative control over object size, working distance, and perspective in the macro space.

Now, extreme close focus can be achieved without the chromatic aberrations and loss of sharpness that typically accompany other, lesser solutions.

Finally, mounting adapters are available to attach the Brilliant Macro lenses to a range of professional cinematography lenses. Moreover, custom adapters can also be provided upon request, ensuring a perfect fit for any setup.
