The new V-AF lineup is the world’s first lens series designed to make video content creation more efficient and convenient. The fourth lens in this innovative lineup is the V-AF 45mm T1.9. With this, Samyang continues to push the boundaries of videography with the custom-designed V-AF series.

Unified Form Factor – Compact & Light

The V-AF series enhances compatibility with gimbals and drones by incorporating unified form factors across five different focal lengths (from Ultra-Wide to Medium-Tele). Additionally, its compact size of 73 x 70mm and lightweight design of under 300g ensure that videographers don’t need to re-adjust their equipment when switching lenses, offering seamless transitions between shots.

LED Indicator (Tally Lamp) – Excellent Usability

The built-in lamp, located on the front and mount index, allows users to easily check whether the camera is recording while shooting. This feature significantly supports video content creation, especially in small spaces, where limited equipment is essential for smooth operations.

Supports 8K and Consistent Color Tone

The new V-AF series supports up to 8K resolution in a compact and lightweight form factor, making it ideal for handheld gimbals, drones, and both studio and location productions. Moreover, all lenses in the V-AF series are meticulously color-matched, ensuring no color shift when swapping lenses. The 9-blade aperture also contributes to a natural-looking bokeh, adding cinematic quality to every shot.

Custom Switch & Button

The V-AF series introduces the ‘Focus Save’ function, typically found in professional cine equipment. Additionally, the custom mode feature, which can be updated via firmware, provides video-specific functions that are perfect for students and amateur filmmakers aspiring to become cinematographers.
