With a new AE algorithm developed for full-frame models, the α6700 can accurately detect skin areas on faces and adjust exposure accordingly when shooting both stills and movies. It also maintains realistic colors under various lighting conditions, ensuring natural skin tones and vivid sky and foliage hues.

The Creative Look setting enhances flexibility and simplicity. Offering 10 presets, it allows you to customize 8 parameters to suit the subject or scene, whether you’re shooting stills, movies, or live-streaming. Set the mood before shooting to have images ready to share immediately.

5-axis optical image stabilization
Shoot hand-held or in low light with confidence—the 5-axis in-body optical image stabilization compensates for up to 5 steps of shake. It detects and corrects various types of camera shake, even at longer focal lengths or slower shutter speeds.

Precise compensation at the single-pixel level
Through enhanced design and control of key parameters, the α6700 delivers precise detection down to the single-pixel level, fully utilizing its 26.0 megapixel resolution for sharp and detailed images.

Selectable RAW file types and quality
In addition to compressed RAW capture, the α6700 supports lossless compressed RAW capture, providing greater efficiency for continuous bursts of high-quality images. It also introduces a Light image quality option for JPEG and HEIF formats, reducing file size while maintaining sharpness.

HEIF: High compression with excellent image quality
For the first time in an APS-C camera, the α6700 includes the HEIF format, offering smooth 10-bit gradations for realistic skies and portrait skin tones. This format uses advanced compression technology to maintain image quality while reducing file size, saving storage space.

Evolving with AI: Innovative AI processing
The α6700 integrates an advanced AI processing unit, boosting performance with more accurate subject recognition across a broader range of subjects.

Human pose estimation
The α6700 utilizes subject form data to recognize human movement, achieving improved eye recognition. It also tracks body and head positions, making it capable of locking onto subjects facing away or with faces partially obscured.

Wider subject recognition
In addition to humans and animals, the α6700 now identifies birds, insects, cars, trains, and airplanes, offering greater flexibility and reliability when shooting stills and movies. It recognizes heads, bodies, and eyes, including for birds, with over 40% better animal recognition performance than the α6600.

Smarter Real-time Tracking
AI-powered Real-time Tracking now works more reliably in a wider range of scenarios, freeing you to focus on composition. The α6700 tracks subjects even when they wear helmets or face away from the camera.

Faster, more precise wide-area AF
Thanks to the BIONZ XR engine, the α6700 features 759 phase-detection points, covering approximately 93% of the image area, ensuring improved AF performance.

Accurate AF in low EV –3.0 light
The latest AF algorithms deliver high precision at light levels as low as EV –3.0 in AF-S mode, even with smaller apertures.

Shoot more than 1000 images at 11fps
The powerful BIONZ XR engine and large buffer memory enable the α6700 to shoot more than 1000 JPEGs, 59 compressed RAW images, or 23 lossless compressed RAW images in continuous bursts.

Full-time DMF
When using AF-C or AF-S autofocus, simply rotate the lens’s focus ring to switch to manual focus instantly. This allows you to change focus on the fly.

Focus bracketing to capture the best shot
The α6700 can automatically shoot up to 299 images with sequentially shifted focus points, letting you select the perfect shot or create creative composites with incredible depth of focus.

Flicker suppression
Suppress flicker from artificial lighting in stills or movies by selecting “Anti-flicker Shoot,” or fine-tune shutter speeds with “Var. Shutter” to match flicker rates when filming.

Movie performance inherited from the Cinema Line 4K movie recording for stunning quality
The α6700 captures 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) at up to 60p (50p) using Sony’s 6K oversampling technology, achieving 4K video with remarkable detail. It supports high-quality XAVC S-I (All-Intra) and XAVC HS formats with 10-bit 4:2:2 color sampling.

High frame rate 4K 120p (100p) recording
