Sony PTZ Auto Framing License

The Sony REA-L0200 is an optional software license that unlocks PTZ Auto Framing and PTZ Auto Tracking on the Sony REA-C1000 Edge Analytics Appliance. Designed for compatible Sony PTZ cameras, this activation license adds AI-powered subject detection and tracking, allowing the camera to automatically follow presenters without requiring manual camera operation.

AI-Powered Auto Framing

With firmware version 5.0 and later, the license enables PTZ Auto Framing alongside the original PTZ Auto Tracking feature. Using advanced video analytics, the system detects a presenter and continuously adjusts the camera’s pan, tilt, and zoom to maintain natural framing as the subject moves. Existing REA-L0200 users can access PTZ Auto Framing at no additional cost by updating the firmware.

Compatibility and Usage Notes

The REA-L0200 functions as an activation key for software already installed on the REA-C1000 Edge Analytics Appliance. The license does not support the ILME-FR7, SRG-A40, or SRG-A12. The SRG-X40UH supports PTZ Auto Framing only. PTZ Auto Tracking does not provide tilt and zoom tracking. PTZ Auto Tracking can operate simultaneously with the REA-L0100 Handwriting Extraction license, while PTZ Auto Framing cannot run at the same time as Handwriting Extraction.
