Alpha 9 II Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera

The Sony α9 II delivers next-generation high-speed performance far exceeding SLRs. Its 24.2MP full-frame stacked CMOS sensor with integral memory achieves high sensitivity up to ISO 204800 (extended). The BIONZ X engine delivers natural tonal gradations, stable AWB, high dynamic range, 14-bit RAW output and 16-bit image processing for maximum detail and colour accuracy.

Uncompromising Speed & Continuous Shooting

Shoot continuously at up to 20fps electronic or 10fps mechanical shutter, with AF/AE calculated up to 60 times per second. The electronic shutter reaches 1/32000 sec. with suppressed rolling shutter effect. Blackout-free shooting and silent operation make it ideal for sports and quiet environments. The Quad-VGA OLED Tru-Finder with 3.68M dots, 120fps refresh and ZEISS T* Coating minimises display blurring on location.

4D FOCUS & Advanced Autofocus

693 focal-plane phase-detection AF points cover ~93% of the image area for precise tracking even during shutter release. AF works down to EV-3 at ISO 100. Real-time Eye AF detects human and animal eyes with left/right preference. Real-time Tracking processes colour, pattern and distance data in parallel at high speed. Anti-flicker shooting and AWB Lock add confidence in challenging lighting.

Stabilisation, Video & Connectivity

5-axis body-integrated stabilisation is equivalent to a 5.5-step faster shutter speed. 4K full pixel readout with no pixel binning condenses ~2.4x the required data (6K equivalent) into detailed QFHD output at up to 100 Mbps via XAVC-S. Dual UHS-II SD slots support simultaneous, relay and separate recording. The NP-FZ100 battery doubles operation longevity, with USB Type-C and Multi/Micro USB ports for external power. Voice Memo records up to 60-sec audio with automatic text transcription attached to images.
