By incorporating the latest Linear Stepping Motor (LSM) technology, the Samyang 12mm F2.0 AF lens combines a more compact design with improved autofocus performance. Since the lens only requires the movement of a single focusing group, it delivers fast, quiet, and precise focusing, whether you’re shooting stills or videos. Additionally, the design allows for close focusing at just 7.48 inches, without changing the length or causing the front element to rotate.

With its bright F2.0 aperture, the lens enables faster shutter speeds, resulting in superior astrophotography and better low-light performance. Furthermore, the F2.0 aperture helps create an impressive sense of depth in your daytime shots by effectively separating the subject from the pleasing, de-focused background.

The optical construction features twelve elements in ten groups, including a new and advanced version of Ultra Multi Coating (UMC). Additionally, five specialized lens elements (1 Aspherical, 3 Extra-Low Dispersion, and 1 Hybrid-Aspherical) reduce aberrations and distortion, producing sharp and thoroughly corrected imagery.
