The BRC-X1000 is Sony’s first 4K remote camera, which is designed to deliver broadcast-grade picture quality. This is achieved alongside smooth, silent PTZ operation, ensuring that high-quality images are captured effortlessly. Moreover, flexibility is provided through the use of 3G-SDI and HDMI connections, making the camera suitable for a variety of professional environments.

Compact and Powerful Design for Remote Operation The BRC-X1000 has been designed with remote operation in mind, and it is both compact and powerful. As a result, it serves as the perfect complement to existing broadcast cameras, allowing images to be captured from hard-to-reach or unobtrusive positions. This camera is equally well-suited for environments such as TV newsrooms, remote studios, on-air suites, auditoriums, faith centers, courtrooms, and sports stadiums. Furthermore, it is particularly effective in multi-camera setups, which can be operated by a single operator.

High-Quality 4K Imaging with Excellent Low-Light Sensitivity With the 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS image sensor, detail-packed 4K footage is captured at 30p, offering four times the pixel count of Full HD. This large image sensor is also capable of providing excellent low-light sensitivity. Consequently, beautiful bokeh effects are created, and a shallow depth of field is achieved, which allows for artistic flexibility.

Speedy PTZ Operation with Powerful Zoom The camera boasts speedy, near-silent PTZ operation, which ensures that both wide-angle scenes and tight close-ups can be captured smoothly. With the 12× optical zoom, the camera is able to cover a wide range of focal lengths. Additionally, Clear Image Zoom extends the zoom range to 18× (4K) and 24× (HD), ensuring there is no visible loss of resolution. Moreover, in HD resolution, the 24× zoom can be doubled to 48× with Tele Convert Mode.

Flexible and Broadcast-Friendly Features: Several broadcast-friendly features have been incorporated into the design of the camera, including the addition of dual tally lamps for on-air operation. Furthermore, the camera offers operational flexibility, as it supports ceiling, table-top, or tripod mounting. This ensures that it can easily be integrated into various production setups.

Broad Video Interfacing and Remote Control Options A broad range of video interfacing and remote control options is supported by the camera. Notably, PoE+ and genlock are included, allowing for smooth integration into any broadcast, professional, or corporate AV environment.

Available Models and Color Options: The BRC-X1000 is available in both black (BRC-X1000) and white (BRC-X1000/W). It should be noted that color availability may vary depending on the region. In the US and Canada, the camera is bundled with the AC-UES1230MT AC power supply and cord, while in other regions, the AC power supply and cord are sold separately.
