Warm Pro-Mist Filter

The Tiffen Warm Pro-Mist Filter reduces highlight values and lowers overall contrast while keeping detail across the image intact. Unlike traditional diffusion or soft focus filters, it provides little loss of detail. As a result, it is especially useful for smoothing facial wrinkles and blemishes in movies, fashion, and beauty applications.

Diffusion with Warmth

What sets the Warm Pro-Mist apart is its combination of Pro-Mist diffusion with an 812 warming filter effect. This adds a general warmth to the image and helps improve skin tones. In addition, the warming effect reduces blue sensitivity and cuts through overly cool tones within the scene. So you get a more balanced and flattering look without needing to add a separate warming filter to your setup.

Soft, Pastel Quality of Light

The 1/8 density provides less contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/4 density, while still allowing for a soft, pastel-like quality of light. As densities increase, the effect grows stronger, giving you full control over the level of diffusion and warmth. This makes the Warm Pro-Mist a flexible tool for a wide range of shooting scenarios.

ColorCore Technology

Tiffen builds this filter using ColorCore technology. The process laminates the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and grinds it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. As a result, you get consistent optical performance and reliable color fidelity across the entire filter surface.
