XTREME 16-35mm Zoom

The CHIOPT XTREME 16-35mm T3.2 Compact Zoom Cine Lens provides a 16-35mm wide-angle focal range with strong spatial expression. It supports grand outdoor scenes, cramped indoor spaces, and multiple group portraits. The lens suits film, television, advertisements, documentaries, feature films, dramas, and broadcasting. Its 16-35mm range works with the same-series 28-85mm and 75-250mm lenses for coverage from wide-angle to telephoto.

Optical Performance

The lens delivers excellent linear correction, keeping horizontal and vertical lines straight and undistributed. It maintains constant focus throughout the zoom range without deviation. The focused frame shows no zooming or shifting offset, with minimal and imperceptible zoom breathing. Light spots transition delicately and softly for a smooth connection between virtual and real elements. The lens also provides strong anti-distortion capability and excellent chromatic aberration correction with highly suppressed purple fringing.

Build and Operation

The lens features unified optical and mechanical adjustments within the XTREME series. Its all-metal structure uses high-strength stainless steel for the PL/EF/E mounts. The 288-degree focusing range supports precise manual focusing. A metric scale appears on the left side of the focusing ring, while an imperial scale appears on the right. The surface uses a unique spraying process designed for higher hardness, better strength, and improved resistance to fingerprints and oil stains.

The lens includes a multi-size replaceable mount design for compatibility with various mainstream camera models. Its rear focus can be adjusted using the various gasket specifications supplied as standard equipment. Special materials in gaps within the lens metal casing help minimize the possibility of sand, dust, and raindrops entering during product design. This is not a promised protective function, and the lens should be used in a safe environment.
