LIT DUO 1 Digital Light Meter

The LIT Systems LIT DUO 1 Digital Light Meter combines color, exposure, illuminance, spectrum and flicker measurement in one pocket-sized device. Its durable aluminum body, large LCD display and tactile physical controls support a fast and simple workflow. The device suits filmmaking, video, stage work and other situations where light matters. Its interface uses pioneering software with physical controls designed for ease of use.

All-in-One Light Measurement

LIT DUO 1 brings seven intuitive measuring modes and sub-functions into one device. Measure Color Temperature and White Balance to mix or blend different lights and keep results consistent with different types of light and cameras. Measure Full Colors to control color contrasts and match or blend lighting with existing sources. Full Color measurement works with RGB lights and color filters. Exposure and Light Ratio controls help create consistent shots and support location lighting or scouting without a camera. These modes work with continuous light for photo or video use cases.

Fast and Intuitive Operation

The large LCD display uses a smart menu that makes DUO 1 easy to learn and use. The device turns on instantly and becomes ready to measure. Tactile button controls also work with gloves. Its super compact form factor supports single-hand use, while details such as icons and button clicks focus on making the workflow easier. The durable body combines a CNC-milled gray anodised aluminum front with a durable plastic back.

Accurate Light Analysis

LIT DUO 1 offers low-light performance with up to 2x better sensitivity and up to 4x faster measuring times compared with the closest competitor products. Every LIT light meter goes through traceable light intensity and spectrum calibration. A unique light profile stores locally on the device and in the Cloud.

Seven Measuring Modes

Measure Illuminance in lux or foot-candles and evaluate light quality with Spectrum mode. Flicker mode shows which shutter speeds to avoid and measures flicker up to 7kHz. Color Temperature mode lets you measure two lights and view correction filters, then re-measure both. Full Color mode lets you view values in different color units, including CIE 1931 or HSI. You can also measure the difference or ratio between two points and re-measure both for consistent lighting from scene to scene. Manual camera parameters let you set a target before the camera arrives and measure the difference to that target.

LIT DUO 1 also includes LIT Snake for taking a break and getting new ideas. Its compact design makes it easy to keep with you while its controls and measuring functions support creative workflows from setup through shooting and post-production.
