Cine 7 Touchscreen

The SmallHD Cine 7 is a slim and lightweight 7-inch touchscreen monitor. It is built for production pros who need bright, accurate, and intuitive monitoring on set. With 1800 nits of brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color, it works in full sunlight. So no matter the time of day or environment, you always get a clear and glare-free view of your image.

Bright and Color-Accurate Display

The Cine 7 uses a Full HD IPS LCD panel with 1920×1200 resolution and 10-bit color processing. The QD-LED edge-lit technology diffuses and focuses light through a quantum-dot film. As a result, you get the purest color accuracy and highest uniformity on the panel. Furthermore, the 1800 nits brightness ensures a bright and detailed image even in harsh outdoor light.

Connectivity and Power Options

The Cine 7 has two 3G-SDI inputs. The second input also works as a loop out. It also has an HDMI input with HDMI loop through, and a 1/8″ headphone jack for audio monitoring. For power, it uses a 2-pin locking input at 10V–34V / 2A DC and a Sony L-Series dual battery bracket. In addition, you can add a Gold Mount or V-Mount battery plate for more power options on set.

PageOS Software Tools

The Cine 7 runs on SmallHD PageOS. It lets you build custom Page Profiles and access all key monitoring tools in one tap. These include Focus Assist, Exposure Assist, frame guides, histogram, vectorscope, waveform, and high-resolution 3D LUT overlays. Moreover, Tetrahedral LUT Interpolation and Advanced Teradek RT Overlays give you even more control over your image on set.

The EL Zone tool, developed by Ed Lachman ASC, works like a virtual spot meter. It replaces IRE values with stops for easier and more intuitive exposure reading. A built-in digital bubble-level overlay also lets you check camera rotation at a glance. Additionally, a camera-control interface stays on every page, so you can view and adjust camera functions and monitoring tools at the same time.

Camera Control and Wireless Options

SmallHD’s software gives you direct control of RED DSMC2, RED KOMODO, ARRI, and Sony VENICE cameras. You can adjust Start/Stop Record, FPS, Shutter Speed, ISO, White Balance, Clip Playback, and more — all from the touchscreen. Note that camera control licenses are sold separately. Furthermore, the optional Bolt RX Monitor Module adds cable-free wireless video from any Bolt 4K or Bolt 6 transmitter at up to 1500ft / 457m.
