Indie 7 7-Inch Camera Monitor

The SmallHD Indie 7 is a vivid and lightweight entry model into SmallHD’s professional 7-inch touchscreen monitor series. Housed in a rugged and thin aluminum chassis, it is designed for heavy production use while remaining easy to handle on set. With 1000 nits of brightness and a hyper-responsive touchscreen, the Indie 7 gives you a reliable and personalized viewing experience in any environment or time of day.

PageOS and Imaging Tools

The Indie 7 runs on SmallHD’s user-customizable PageOS software, putting a full suite of internal imaging assistance tools at your fingertips. Focus Assist, Exposure Assist, and more help you monitor your production accurately and efficiently. The intuitive touchscreen interface makes navigating and adjusting settings fast and natural during any shoot.

Connectivity and Power Options

The Indie 7 features two 3G SDI inputs, with the second input also doubling as a loop out. An HDMI input and a 2mm barrel connector port add further connectivity flexibility. For power, a Sony L-Series dual battery bracket is built in, and the option to add a Gold Mount or V-Mount battery plate attachment gives you additional power versatility on set.

Optional Bolt RX Monitor Module

The Indie 7 is compatible with the optional Bolt RX Monitor Module, which upgrades your handheld monitoring workflow with cable-free 4K wireless video from any Bolt 4K series transmitter at distances of up to 750ft / 228m. As a result, you can monitor wirelessly with the same display quality and reliability you expect from a wired setup.

Camera Control for RED DSMC2 and KOMODO

SmallHD’s proprietary software enables camera control for RED DSMC2 and KOMODO cameras directly from the touchscreen. You can access and adjust Start/Stop Record, FPS, Shutter Speed, ISO, Color Temperature/White Balance, Clip Playback, and more — transforming the Indie 7 into the central command hub of your camera system.
