28.8V High Voltage for Cine Cameras

The HB-A290B runs at 28.8V within a range of 21.6V to 33.6V. This matches the power needs of ALEXA35/265, Blackmagic URSA Cine cameras, and other high-power cine equipment. The high voltage reduces current draw, which means a more reliable and longer-lasting power supply on set. In addition, the battery delivers at least 250W and 10A of constant high load for demanding camera and device use.

Multiple Output Options

The HB-A290B gives you a wide range of output options. Two D-tap ports deliver regulated 16V at 60W / 3.8A each. One USB-A port outputs 5V at 2A. One USB-C port supports both 60W input for charging and 60W output for powering devices. The USB-C output supports multiple protocols including PD 2.0/3.0, QC 2.0/3.0, FCP, SCP, BC1.2, and voltage levels from 5V to 20V at 3A. Furthermore, it is compatible with Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, Huawei Matebook, Thinkpad, HP, ASUS, Dell, and almost all laptops with USB-C ports.

Charging and Display

You can charge the HB-A290B via USB-C at PD 15V 3A or 20V 3A, fully charging the 290Wh battery in approximately 5.5 hours. For faster charging, the SWIT PC-P461B B-mount charger charges four HB-A290B batteries at the same time at 33.6V 3A / 100W, completing a full charge in about 3 hours and 50 minutes. The OLED display on the battery shows power percentage, remaining runtime, USB-A and USB-C status, and any protection warning codes if something unusual occurs.

Built Tough for the Field

The HB-A290B survives drops from up to 1.2 meters at any angle, giving you confidence in demanding production environments. A built-in LED torch activates with a double press of the power check button, helping you find B-mount plates in dark environments. It switches off automatically after 30 seconds. Additionally, the ultra-low standby power design holds charge for years without losing power, so there is no need for regular charge-discharge maintenance during storage.
