The Sennheiser EW-DX-MKE2-Set Dual Wireless Lavalier Microphone Set is an all-in-one digital wireless solution designed for presenters, speakers, educators, broadcasters, and production professionals who need reliable wireless performance with complete freedom of movement. The system includes two EW-DX SK bodypack transmitters, two renowned MKE 2 omnidirectional lavalier microphones, one EW-DX EM 2 dual-channel rackmount receiver, and two BA 70 rechargeable batteries for extended operation.

Professional Digital Wireless Performance

The EW-DX system delivers a 143 dB input dynamic range through Sennheiser’s proprietary Performance Audio Codec (SePAC), eliminating the need to adjust transmitter gain. It provides a wide switching bandwidth of up to 88 MHz, supports equidistant channel spacing with up to 146 channels in Standard Mode and up to 293 channels in Link Density Mode, and maintains an ultra-low system latency of only 1.9 ms. Digital audio trim offers additional audio control while maintaining consistent signal quality.

Smart Control, Security, and Flexible Operation

The AutoScan function quickly scans the RF environment and assigns frequencies automatically, making setup simple even for users without RF experience. The system integrates with SoundBase software and supports network-based management through Sennheiser Control Cockpit, Wireless Systems Manager, and compatible third-party media control systems. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) enables remote control through the Smart Assist App from distances up to 25 meters. AES-256 and Dante Media Encryption protect audio transmissions against unauthorized access.

The EW-DX EM 2 receiver features switching diversity technology, Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, OLED status display, balanced XLR outputs, unbalanced 6.3 mm outputs, headphone monitoring, Ethernet control, AES-256 encryption, walk test mode, dual BNC antenna inputs, and operation via 12 V DC or Power over Ethernet (PoE IEEE 802.af Class 0). The rugged metal receiver measures approximately 212 × 44 × 206 mm and weighs approximately 1 kg without antennas and power supply.

Each EW-DX SK bodypack transmitter features a rugged metal housing, a persistent backlit E-Ink display that remains visible even when batteries are removed, programmable mute controls, button lock, digital parameter adjustment, charging contacts for in-device charging with the optional CHG 70N charger, and a locking 3.5 mm microphone input compatible with a wide range of Sennheiser lavalier and headset microphones. Each transmitter operates for up to 12 hours with the included BA 70 rechargeable battery or up to 8 hours using two AA batteries.
