Multiple Grades for Flexible Strength

The Black Satin Filter is available in grades 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. With each grade increase, the effect becomes approximately twice as strong. So you can select the exact level of softening and warmth that suits your scene, from a subtle touch to a more pronounced look.

Built for Clarity and Durability

This filter is constructed from water white glass for increased clarity and color fidelity. It is also made using Tiffen’s ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and grinds it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. Together, these elements ensure consistent optical performance and long-lasting durability. A padded pouch is included for safe storage and transport.
