4 x 5.650″ Water White ND Filter

The Tiffen 4 x 5.650″ Water White ND Filter is a solid neutral density filter available in multiple densities, so you can choose the exact level of light control your shot needs. Each density reduces the amount of light entering your lens without changing color.

This lets you shoot with a wider aperture or a slower shutter speed than you normally could. As a result, you gain more control over depth of field. You can also create smoother motion blur in bright conditions.

Available Densities

• ND 0.3 — 1-stop exposure reduction
• ND 0.6 — 2-stop exposure reduction
• ND 0.9 — 3-stop exposure reduction
• ND 1.2 — 4-stop exposure reduction
• ND 1.5 — 5-stop exposure reduction
• ND 1.8 — 6-stop exposure reduction
• ND 2.1 — 7-stop exposure reduction

Lower densities work well in softer light, where you only need a slight reduction. Higher densities suit bright outdoor scenes, where you need a much stronger reduction to keep your exposure balanced.

Because this filter does not affect color, you can pair it with other filters without shifting your image’s tone.

Build Quality

This filter is constructed from Water White glass using ColorCore technology. This process laminates the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass. The glass is then ground flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.

This construction keeps the filter’s optical clarity high across every density in the range.
