The SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II | Art builds on the success of its predecessor with higher resolution across the entire zoom range, a lighter and more compact body, and enhanced usability. Its constant F2.8 aperture creates smooth, attractive bokeh while delivering sharp images from maximum aperture, making it an excellent choice for photography and video production.

Outstanding Image Quality

The advanced optical design includes 6 FLD glass elements, 2 SLD glass elements, and 5 precision aspherical elements to reduce aberrations throughout the zoom range. The lens controls sagittal coma flare and lateral chromatic aberration, producing high-resolution images with excellent sharpness from the center to the edges while minimizing color fringing.

Five high-precision aspherical lenses contribute to exceptional optical performance while keeping the lens compact. Manufactured using Sigma’s advanced molding technology, these elements provide greater flexibility in optical design without compromising image quality.

Designed for Photography and Video

The lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 17 cm (6.7 in.) at the wide end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7, making it suitable for detailed close-up photography and shooting in confined spaces. It also minimizes focus breathing, allowing smooth and natural focus transitions for video recording.

Advanced simulation technology, combined with Nano Porous Coating and Super Multi-Layer Coating, greatly reduces flare and ghosting. This helps maintain high contrast and sharp image quality, even when shooting in strong backlight.

The SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II | Art is approximately 7% smaller and 10% lighter than the previous model while maintaining excellent build quality. It measures 87.8 mm in diameter, 120.2 mm in length, and weighs just 745 g. Metal components and a robust internal structure provide long-term durability for professional use.

The lens features an aperture ring with both click and lock switches, allowing photographers and filmmakers to adjust aperture settings with greater precision. Two customizable AFL buttons improve handling in both horizontal and vertical shooting positions.

Fast Autofocus and Reliable Outdoor Performance

The High-response Linear Actuator (HLA) delivers autofocus speeds more than three times faster than the previous model, providing quick and responsive focusing. The lens also includes a dust and splash resistant structure, a water and oil repellent coating on the front element, and a zoom lock switch that prevents unwanted barrel extension during transport while allowing quick release through zoom operation.
