 40″ C-Stand Turtle Base

The Matthews 40″ C+ Stand combines proven Century Stand functionality with modern portability and flexibility. It includes a grip head, grip arm, and a spring-loaded Turtle Base. As a result, it supports a wide range of lighting and grip applications in both studio and location environments.

Designed for Flexible Positioning

The unique staggered leg design allows multiple stands to nest closely together. Therefore, crews can maximize space on crowded sets while maintaining stable equipment placement.

In addition, the sliding leg adapts easily to stairs, curbs, and uneven terrain. This feature helps position equipment where standard stands may be difficult to use.

Detachable Turtle Base System

The spring-loaded Turtle Base detaches from the riser for easier transport and storage. Furthermore, the base functions as a low stand with a mounting height of 12 inches and features a Junior Receiver compatible with a variety of grip and lighting accessories.

The detachable riser includes a Junior Pin on one end and a Baby Pin on the other. Consequently, it can serve as a boom arm, hanging support, or other creative rigging solution.

Built for Professional Use

Serrated gobo heads provide a strong grip and help prevent side roll. Meanwhile, the Aluminum Magic Gasket helps keep mounted equipment secure after tightening.

Stainless steel helicoil inserts strengthen the riser castings, while V-shaped brass brakes create reliable three-point contact. Moreover, stay-put T-handles remain securely in place during operation.
