The Sony SEL35F14GM is a compact 35mm F1.4 G Master prime lens designed for photographers and filmmakers who want outstanding image quality in a highly portable package. G Master Resolution in a Compact Body

The advanced optical design takes advantage of the short mirrorless flange-back distance to reduce the lens size while maintaining high contrast and resolution. Two XA (extreme aspherical) elements help suppress sagittal coma flare for sharp and clear images. The F1.4 maximum aperture also supports creative depth of field and strong low-light performance.

An ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element and other optical refinements help reduce chromatic aberration and purple fringing. The result is clean, natural-looking colour and images that require less correction during post-production.

Smooth Bokeh and Close-Up Flexibility

The lens uses an 11-blade circular aperture and carefully controlled spherical aberration to produce smooth, refined bokeh. Its XA elements help suppress onion-ring bokeh, making the background look more natural and pleasing for portraits and other subjects.

With a minimum focusing distance of 27 cm and maximum magnification of 0.23x, the lens also supports impressive close-up images. The combination of close focusing and F1.4 aperture creates strong subject separation with smooth background blur.

A fluorine-coated front element repels water, oil, and other contaminants while making the lens surface easier to clean.
