INFINIMAT 8×8 Tunable Mat Light

The Aputure INFINIMAT 8×8′ Tunable Color Mat Light is a complete 8x8ft tunable color mat light system with a clear inflatable airbag and 1,600W control box. This rugged 16-pixel mat light helps save space and time while the inflatable airbag provides rigidity and diffusion.

High Output and Flexible Setup

INFINIMATs provide significantly higher brightness than competitors of the same size, with up to double the intensity. The increased output makes the INFINIMAT useful in a variety of production settings, even in daylight. The clear airbag works with optional diffusion to create a smooth finish with selectable softness.

You can use the INFINIMAT with or without the airbag, strap it in place, or mount it to its frame. The airbag quickly inflates and takes less space on set than traditional diffusion rigs. When not in use, the INFINIMAT packs down small for storage or travel.

Pixel Control and Dimming

The INFINIMAT 8×8 features 16 pixels with a 2×2 pixel module. All INFINIMATs are color tunable and can be configured with other INFINIMATs in pixel arrays. You can control the pixels through Sidus Link Bluetooth and DMX/CRMX for active motion effects.

The dual-dimming internal control system allows the light to dim to extremely low levels without color shift. It also provides fine gradients for smooth transitions. Dimming can reach as low as 0.1%, up to ten times dimmer than the competition.

Control and Rental-Grade Construction

INFINIMAT Control Boxes are universal across the family. The Control Box 400W can control up to three INFINIMATs, while the Control Box 1600W can control up to five mats. This 8×8 system uses the INFINIMAT Control Box 1600W.

Control methods include on-board control, Sidus Link App, DMX/RDM, CRMX, and etherCON. Firmware upgrades work through Sidus Link and USB Drive. Bluetooth and CRMX provide a wireless range of up to 100m / 328.1ft.

IP65 weather protection provides a sealed system. Metal backing plates support heat dispersion, rigidity, and physical protection for the LEDs. The internal design of the mats and control box is modular for easy service.

Color and Power Performance

The INFINIMAT 8×8 offers a CCT range of 2,000K–10,000K, with CRI ≥96, TLCI ≥97, and CQS ≥95. SSI measures 84 for Tungsten and 73 for D56. Average TM-30 RF is 92 and average TM-30 RG is 100.

The maximum power consumption is 2,000W, while maximum power output is 1,600W. The system supports AC operating voltage from 100V–264V and DC operating voltage ranges of 12V–16.8V and 22V–33.6V.

Portable Travel System

The INFINIMAT can be stored in its flight case for shipping and staged in its included zipper bag on set. On the 4×4 and smaller sizes, the airbag stores deflated on the mat. The Air Pump Max inflates the 8×8 softbox in 2 minutes, while full inflation lasts for up to 2 days.

The INFINIMAT 8×8 measures 239.0 x 239.0cm and weighs 32.00kg. The system also includes an inflatable clear softbox, 1-stop and 2-stop diffusion cloth, light control skirt, light control grid, Air Pump Max, Control Box 1600W, flight case, and rolling case.
