Integrated Friction Control and Lock

The TH-650X integrates continuous friction control and locking into one system for both pan and tilt. Simply rotate the knob to set your preferred friction level. Then keep rotating to the end of the knob’s travel to lock the movement completely. As a result, you get smooth, precise control and a secure lock without switching between separate mechanisms.

Evolved Head Movement

Libec redesigned the head structure from the ground up for the TH-650X. The new pan and tilt mechanisms and counterbalance structure deliver smoother and more natural movements, especially at the start and finish of each pan or tilt. This makes camera work feel more fluid and controlled, giving you cleaner results on every shot.

Arca-Swiss Compatible Plate

The TH-650X features an Arca-Swiss compatible plate for photographers who use Arca-Swiss compatible clamps and accessories. The plate is 95mm / 3.7″ long with a total slide range of 125mm / 4.9″, making it easy to balance cameras with large telephoto lenses. A screw-type lock on the right side of the plate holds your equipment firmly and securely in place.

At 2.7kg / 5.9 lbs, the TH-650X is 600g / 1.3 lbs lighter than its predecessor. Combined with its compact size, it offers exceptional mobility for on-the-go shooters. A removable carrying handle comes standard, dramatically improving portability without adding bulk. The ergonomically redesigned flip lock and mid-spreader make leg adjustments faster and more intuitive. Integrated foot rubbers and a mechanism that prevents leg pipes from coming loose also reduce the need for long-term maintenance.

Dual-Head Mechanism and Accessory Ports

The dual-head mechanism lets you attach the TH-650X to both 65mm bowl head tripods and flat base equipment quickly. It also works with sliders, skater dollies, and photographic tripods for maximum versatility on set. Furthermore, three sets of accessory ports with 1/4″ and 3/8″ threads at the base let you attach monitors, lights, and other accessories stably without affecting the head’s performance.
