Professional 4K production with the Sony BRC-X400 4K 30P IP PTZ Camera, designed for broadcast, live events, education, houses of worship, sports venues, and corporate productions.

Broadcast-Quality 4K Imaging and Powerful Zoom

The Sony BRC-X400 features a 1/2.5-type Exmor R™ CMOS image sensor that captures broadcast-quality 4K images with excellent sensitivity, low noise, and rich natural colors. The integrated high-resolution lens delivers up to 30x zoom in 4K and up to 80x zoom in Full HD with Clear Image Zoom technology. A wide horizontal viewing angle of approximately 70° allows the camera to capture everything from wide venue shots to detailed close-ups.

Advanced IP Production and Live Streaming

The BRC-X400 supports efficient IP-based production with NDI®|HX capability, making it easy to integrate with compatible networked production systems. The camera supports RTSP, RTMP, RTMP(S), and SRT streaming protocols for reliable video transmission with low latency, stable performance, and secure streaming across IP networks. Audio from an optional microphone can also stream over the network.

Remote image monitoring through a web browser simplifies camera management, while S700PTP, CGI, and VISCA protocols provide flexible remote control of PTZ functions and camera settings.

Designed for Professional Multi-Camera Production

A single IP cable carries power, video, audio, and control signals, reducing installation time and lowering cabling costs. Genlock support enables seamless synchronization during multi-camera productions, while the built-in tally lamp clearly indicates the active camera during live broadcasts. PTZ Trace Memory recalls frequently used camera movements, helping operators achieve consistent shots during recurring productions.

The Picture Setting File function copies identical camera settings across multiple BRC-X400 cameras through a web interface, allowing fast deployment for large installations. The camera also outputs real-time pan, tilt, zoom, focus, and iris tracking data over IP using the free-d protocol, making it suitable for cost-effective VR and AR production systems without additional tracking hardware.
