The Lindsey Optics 6.6×6.6 Brilliant Rota-Pol Circular Polarizer provides smooth and accurate polarization adjustment inside 6.6 x 6.6-inch cinema matte boxes. It combines a geared rotating tray with a 161mm Brilliant-Pol Circular Polarizer, making it easy to control reflections and improve image quality during professional film production.

Large Circular Polarizer for Maximum Coverage

The Brilliant Rota-Pol includes a 161mm Brilliant-Pol Circular Polarizer with a broadband multi-layer anti-reflection coating for improved optical performance. The filter delivers 38% light transmission, resulting in approximately 1.5 stops of light loss. Its large 6.25-inch clear aperture provides excellent coverage for wide-angle lenses and large zoom lenses, offering greater usable coverage than rotating polarizer systems that use smaller 6-inch filters with 5.8-inch clear apertures.

Smooth Geared Rotation System

The included circular polarizer mounts inside a geared rotating filter tray that occupies a single stage in compatible 6.6 x 6.6-inch matte boxes. Users can rotate the filter smoothly using either of the two geared thumb wheels. Each thumb wheel features engraved A through H position markings, and one full rotation of the wheel rotates the polarizer by 90 degrees for accurate and repeatable adjustments.

Professional Mechanical Design

The rotating system features an all-aluminum main gear that securely holds the 161mm circular polarizer. Internal Delrin rollers support the gear to provide smooth, slip-free operation throughout the rotation range. Aluminum thumb wheels incorporate industry-standard 0.8 pitch gear teeth, allowing compatibility with motorized wireless remote systems. Two 20-thread mounting points on the handle support optional motor installation for remote control. The lightweight design also allows the rotating polarizer to be used with lightweight clip-on matte boxes.
