The Sony SEL14F18GM FE 14mm F1.8 G Master Prime Lens combines an ultra-wide perspective, a bright F1.8 aperture and G Master image quality in a remarkably compact design. It weighs just 460 g, making it easy to carry while capturing fresh perspectives in landscapes, architecture, everyday scenes and night photography.

Two XA (Extreme Aspherical) elements deliver outstanding corner-to-corner resolution, even at the maximum F1.8 aperture. One Super ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and two ED glass elements help suppress chromatic aberration and colour bleeding for clear, high-contrast images. Nano AR Coating II helps minimise flare and ghosting in difficult lighting conditions.

Bright Night Views and Smooth Bokeh

The F1.8 maximum aperture supports low-light shooting without relying on extremely slow shutter speeds. A high-curvature XA front element helps minimise sagittal flare when photographing starry skies and other night scenes. The compact design makes the lens easy to take anywhere.

A 9-blade circular aperture and carefully controlled aberrations create smooth, expressive bokeh in an ultra-wide view. The lens focuses as close as 0.25 m, allowing dynamic close-ups with expansive backgrounds and beautiful subject separation. Linear Response MF provides direct, linear control over manual focus adjustments. The customisable focus hold button can be assigned to functions such as Focus Magnifier. The aperture ring offers intuitive control, while its click-stop switch allows tactile feedback for stills or smooth, silent adjustments for video.

The front and rear elements feature fluorine coatings that help repel water, oil and other contaminants. A dust- and moisture-resistant design adds reliability when shooting outdoors in challenging conditions.
