Description

UWP-D22 Wireless Microphone

Capture clear audio with the Sony UWP-D22 UWP-D handheld wireless microphone package. It combines digital audio processing, reliable RF transmission, true double tuner diversity reception, and practical features for professional video production.

High-Quality Wireless Audio

The UWP-D22 delivers high-quality sound through Sony digital audio processing and reliable RF transmission. True double tuner diversity reception helps provide stable signal reception. The package includes the UTX-M40 handheld microphone and URX-P40 receiver, plus accessories.

Sony digital audio processing improves transient response performance. An optional digital audio interface can enable direct digital sound recording with many Sony professional camcorders and Alpha interchangeable lens cameras through the SMAD-P5 Multi Interface MI shoe adapter. This bypasses A/D and D/A conversion stages.

Fast Frequency Setup

The NFC SYNC function provides quick and easy secure channel setting between the transmitter and receiver. The system also supports IR sync capability with the UTX-M40 transmitter from URX-P03, URX-P03D, and URXS03D receivers.

Channel memory enables fast switching between receiver frequencies for two-transmitter operation. The transmitter frequency can also be sent to the receiver to match multiple receivers to one transmitter.

Flexible Audio Control

The UWP-D22 includes auto gain mode volume control and a +15 dB gain volume boost mode for off-mic audio. It also provides a headphone output for monitoring and a monitor mode that allows the receiver to work as an ear monitor. Variable muting and receiver output level control add further control options.

The handheld microphone uses an interchangeable head, providing a wide choice of microphone capsules. The system is compatible with the Sony WL-800, UWP, and UWP-D series.

Camcorder Integration

With compatible Sony camcorders and the optional SMAD-P5 Multi Interface shoe adapter, the receiver can display audio information such as RF level, audio mute status, and transmitter low-battery alerts in the camera’s viewfinder. The SMAD-P5 can transmit audio signals from the receiver to the camera without a cable connection.

The wireless receiver can also receive power from the camera, with synchronized power on and off between the camera and receiver for power management.

Compact and Mobile Design

The UWP-D series uses a reduced system size and weight to support mobility across a wide range of applications. The UWP-D22 suits ENG, EFP, documentaries, weddings, news, and remote production. Its compact and lightweight receiver also pairs well with small camcorders and interchangeable lens digital cameras.

The URX-P40 includes a USB connector for power supply and features a high-visibility OLED display designed for indoor and outdoor use. The system also supports digital audio interfaces with the optional SMAD-P5 Multi Interface MI shoe adapter.
