The SmallHD Ultra 5 is a powerful, portable, and adaptable 5-inch touchscreen monitor. It is the best-in-class option in its size, with 3000 nits of brightness, a locking power adaptor, an Ethernet port for camera control, and three large front-facing physical buttons. So whether you are on set or on location, you always have full control of your monitoring in any condition.

Ultra Bright Display

The Ultra 5 has a 5-inch touchscreen with 1920×1080 resolution and 440 PPI. It delivers 3000 nits of brightness with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and an edgelit backlight. As a result, you get a sharp and vivid image in even the harshest sunlight. Furthermore, 10-bit color depth ensures accurate and consistent color on every shot.

Full Connectivity and Power

The Ultra 5 has one 3G-SDI input and one 3G-SDI input/output. It also has one HDMI 2.0 input and one HDMI 2.0 output, both at 4K 30fps. A 3.5mm stereo headphone jack handles audio. For data, it includes one SD card slot, one RJ45 Ethernet port, one Micro USB, and one locking USB. The 2-pin locking power input runs at 10–34V DC and 2.1A for secure and reliable power delivery on set.

Camera Control and Tactile Buttons

The Ethernet port enables camera control for Canon, Sony, ARRI, and RED cameras. A camera-control interface stays anchored to every PageOS page. So you can view and adjust camera functions and monitoring tools at the same time. Three large custom-function buttons sit on the front of the monitor. These let you assign workflow shortcuts, switch inputs, adjust brightness, and more — all without using the touchscreen. This makes them ideal for use in cold conditions when you keep your gloves on.

PageOS Monitoring Tools

The Ultra 5 runs on PageOS with a full suite of smart and intuitive monitoring tools. These include Focus Assist, Exposure Assist, Tetrahedral LUT Interpolation, and Advanced Teradek RT Overlays. Lens Control Overlays let you view focus, iris, and zoom data on screen and create or edit marks on the focus scale. You can even pinch-zoom the scale for very precise focal-change sequences. In addition, the built-in horizon indicator overlay helps you gauge camera rotation at a glance.
